It goes without saying that an athlete that is more fit, is better prepared to compete and compete safely. But sadly injuries are a part of all sports. Unfortunately, there is a lack of both information and understanding as to what specific activities cause athlete injuries. For example, the increase of UCL (Ulnar Collateral Ligament) injuries and the related Tommy John surgery has begun to extend down to lower age levels of the sport and its incidence is growing at a staggering level. There are several hypotheses and contributing factors to why this is happening. But with the lack of information available, especially at the youth levels of the sport which are going through dynamic changes, there is little scientific foundation of information to point to implement change and reverse the trend. We believe the information we collect will provide excellent insight into better understanding athlete injuries. And as information is revealed, our products also will become an excellent platform for sharing and educating athletes, coaches, families, etc. We have a deep commitment to use our collective data to work with industry experts to look for trends and indicators of why and when injuries happen and what can be done to make lifestyle changes that can prevent them.
